If you are ever out this way again (Kolob Terrace Road - Zion National Park) come and ask us to take you where you can get the BEST pictures. :)

Thank you! This horse is my Bandit. He is a registered BLM Mustang. He loves to roll in the pond and get muddy, then roll in the dirt. Too bad it hadn't been a day when I had given him a bath. LOL! I have some other VERY nice pictures of our horses up on our ranch. (The B&W with the two horses are Bandit and Rosie.)

Susan McMenamin replied:

Oh my gosh! This is like finding a needle in a haystack! I can't believe you found the picture I took of Bandit. I have to tell you, We spent a few weeks that summer, and put on a few thousand miles. We had seen quite a few horses along the way... wild, on ranches, here and there through several states. Out of all those horses, these two really caught my attention. Specifically, this one, the one I knew as the White Horse! I'm not really certain what it was about him, but as we drove by, I just had to stop and really look at him. I had gotten out of the car, stood on the edge of the road and took the first picture…the one of the two of them. I was very quiet so as not to scare them. The drive up was really beautiful, but there was something special about Bandit! As soon as I took that first picture, Bandit came trotting over to the fence. He just stood there looking at me. He slowly worked his way down the fence line to get a little closer look at me, or so it seemed. Soon after that he kind of nodded his head a little, almost as if he was trying to tell me something. I couldn’t get over what an incredible animal he was. He just seemed so content and happy, and somewhat curious of course. He had just such a wonderful personality. I would have to guess that you already know that though. Lol That area of Utah is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, and just seeing your horse and having those few moments to take that in was really special. Thank you so much for the invite as well, Wendy! That’s very kind, and I may just take you up on that offer when we hopefully get out that way again!
